Information for Visitors September 2020
In light of the new hospitality sector statutory guidance implemented on Monday 14th September and in order to continue to protect our staff and make our visitors feel safe, we are implementing the following new policies:
- Face Masks
Please wear a face mask or covering at all times whilst moving about in our premises, unless you are except from wearing one.
- Mandatory collection of customer/visitor contact details to support Test and Protect
On entering our premises you will be asked to provide your details. We will ask for the name and contact number of the lead person in your party for the Track & Trace system. This information will be stored confidentially for 21 days before being destroyed appropriately. The lead person of any party will be responsible for ensuring they have the contact details of all other members of their party and all parties are responsible for ensuring that they follow government advice about mixing with people from other households.
- Table service with no standing/all customers seated
On arrival you will be shown to your pre-booked table or to a suitable seat. No standing or service at our bar. All customers should remain seated during their visit other than to use our facilities.
Booking ahead to dine with us is preferred and essential during peak times. Pre-booked tables will be given priority with walk-ins taken where possible, whilst not exceeding capacity. During very busy times we will need to place a time limit on table bookings.
- Limits to households mixing indoors
The current limit for one table booking is 6 people from a maximum of 2 different households. You may be reminded of these limits when making your booking and staff reserve the right to refuse a booking should they be concerned that by taking the booking the limits would be exceeded.
- Noise control: loud behaviour
We will no longer be playing background music in our premises to discourage the need for customers and staff to have to raise their voice or get close to another person to be heard. Any customers starting to raise their voice or shout will be challenged by staff.
- One metre physical distancing
Please remember you are entering a 1 metre physical distancing zone when you visit our premises. Please ensure you remain at least 1 metre from the next customer unless from the same household or a carer.
- Cleaning and hygiene arrangements
Please sanitise your hands on entering our premises at the stations provided and regularly wash your hands during your visit. Please do not visit us if you are displaying any of the recognised Corona Virus symptoms namely, a persistent cough, high temperature or loss of taste and or smell.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation and understanding.
We’re really excited to be working with our neighbours on Harbour Road, the fabulous Hippodrome in Eyemouth – a brilliant arts space for music, literature, film, exhibitions and courses. Our new partnership means you can now save 10% off your food bill* when you dine with us prior to attending an event. When you purchase your ticket you will see the discount offer, so just show your ticket to our staff to receive your discount. (*drinks excluded and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer). Why not book in with us tomorrow evening prior to Simon Thacker: Songs of the Roma – a new Romani musical journey full of spiritual intensity, catharsis and joy by one of the UK’s most instinctively expansive musical figures, Simon Thacker (classical guitar), with the much admired Polish cellist Justyna Jablonska and and leading Roma exponent singer/violinist Masha Natanson.
