Burns Night Wine Tasting Event

January’s the kind of month when it’s good to have things in the diary to look forward to, so start off by making note of our guided wine tasting on Friday 21st January from 6.30pm to celebrate the Birthday of our National Baird, Robert Burns.
As usual our kitchen team have created 5 courses of incredible food, which will be perfectly complimented by a selection of hand picked fine wines and even a wee dram!

Commis/Pizza Chef
We are looking to recruit a Permanent Commis/Pizza Chef to work our busy pizza bench.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in becoming a Chef and learning all aspects of working in a kitchen.  The role will involve preparing and cooking pizzas, toasties, salads and garnishes, starters and desserts.   Previous experience an advantage, but full training will be given.   You will have the opportunity to gain associated qualifications and depending on your age, have the opportunity to enrol in Modern Apprenticeship.  You must have excellent communication skills, be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure. Candidates must be available to work a mixture of shifts over 5 days a week – mainly in the evenings and over weekends. You need to have a passion for food and cooking and an interest in working in hospitality.  Rate of pay will depend on previous experiences or if starting as a trainee, but will at least meet National Minimum/National Living Wage requirements.
